I stopped in here yesterday looking for something specific...I wanted to find a book with lateral thinking puzzles or some type of mini mysteries. You know, the kind where there is a short story (2 or 3 pages) with some type of problem or 'who-done-it' to solve at the end. My bestie and I go to the pool a lot in the summer and I thought it would be something fun to sit and read while we were lounging out. I used to read them all of the time when I was younger and thought it would be something different. And yes, I know I could check online but, hey, I was already here. Any-who....I go in and easily find the "customer service" area, which is located in the middle of the store. It is a round kiosk. One woman is being waited on by an employee. There are 5 other employees standing behind the kiosk, talking among themselves. One of the workers notices me and comes over to help. I tell him what I'm searching for and he quickly looks it up on the computer. He takes me to an area of puzzles, but they are crosswords, sudokus, coloring books, etc. I tell him these aren't what I'm looking for. He said he might have something where the magazines are. He goes off to check while I look around. He comes back with some magazines, but it still isn't what I'm interested in. (sorry c dub). I thank him and continue to browse on my own. Pros: the place is clean and well organized. Areas are pretty well marked by genre, discount books, cards, etc. The guy who assisted me was friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible. Cons: They didn't have what I was looking for. Also, it was not very appropriate to see a bunch of staff standing around the middle of the store while there are a lot of customers around.
