I think this place has the potential for a higher rating, but I just wasn't that impressed based on my personal experience. Maybe I just didn't order the right item, or it was the ridiculously long wait to get our food, but I don't quite understand the hype over this place. It's great that it has a separate vegan menu, and tries to use locally sourced organic ingredients whenever possible, but that shouldn't cause such a long time to prepare the food. Our wait time actually wasn't as bad as some other reviewers but it was still uncomfortably long. 20 to 30 minutes is way too long in my book, especially considering we came when this place wasn't even busy. My wife and I came here around 9:40 a.m. on a Tuesday and there were only four other parties besides us so I can't understand why it took so long for us to get our food. We had similar dishes at Kitchen Table the day before during a very busy brunch time, and we still got our food within 10 minutes. As far as the food, it was mixed. I liked the Short Rib Hash but was disappointed by Turkey Benny. All other ingredients in the dish were fine but the turkey was extremely dry. It was so dry, it felt like it was going to get stuck in my throat. I initially wanted to send it back but didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for another dish. I managed to finish half by using lots of citrus hollandaise sauce that came with this dish. The hollandaise sauce tasted like a lemon bar, and was good by itself. However, it didn't quite go well with rest of the items. I thought it was too acidic for a dish that doesn't have much fat. I don't know how some people are managing to wait 30-45 minutes just to get a table here. I wouldn't wait that long even if the food was excellent. For people that are new to the area I would still recommend trying this place, but should only come during non-peak times.
