We visit this restaurant each time we are in town. The ambiance, friendly wait staff and mostly delicious food are the best in this part of Gilbert which seems to have more than its share of fast food restaurants. The portion sizes are more than generous and the value for your money is excellent. The bread and crackers they serve almost before you have a minute to catch your breath never fail to please the palette. Where the restaurant did not earn top points concerns their menu which creates a few challenges for a plant based eater. Almost every menu item has cheese or some other dairy or meat included. They could really benefit from updating the menu to include some truly delicious pasta dishes and create some raw vegetable dishes that are not smothered in oil, cream or both. Even the minestrone which is heavily salted and thick with a heavy tomato paste aftertaste needs a fresh update. The minestrone soup tastes just like the sauce they put on the pomodorro pasta dish. This seems like such a no brainer for the chefs to come up with a few menu items that would be more appealing than ordering some overcooked roasted vegetables and fingerling potatoes without the parmesan cream. My husband chose the fish cakes which he loved.
