Delicious, fresh Italian food. As mentioned by another reviewer, the house dressing, actually made on site, is very good. Their marinara sauce is particularly tasty (is that a strong olive flavor in it? I can't pick it out). Prices and portions are on par with other restaurants in the area, which is to say "low" and "more than adequate," respectively.
I've had the pizza twice. It was never anything to write home about, merely average; why they are frequently cited as having some of the best pizza in Charlotte is beyond me (maybe the best of a mediocre bunch). The staff at the Park Road location have always been efficient and professional... though they frequently look less than thrilled to see us, and hostess sometimes looks on the verge of yelling at me while seating me.
Don't let that put you off, though. I've only eaten there maybe five times so far, but I've never been displeased. This is probably one of the best Italian restaurants in Charlotte, especially if you ignore the chains (most of which are crap anyway).
