Myself my wife and my 2 daughters (mature8&9) were visiting Arizona from Southern California. We decided to check out Americas largest butterfly exhibit. Price for adults was 20$ and kids were 13$. We found a coupon for 3$ off each ticket online. Go in the morning before lunch or go after lunch to avoid eating there and large crowds. U will not need more than 3 hours here total.
---We were a little worried that it would be to "babyish" for our girls. But alas it was not!!! We went during the week and if you go on a weekday expect lots of field trips from elementary schools. That did not inhibit our wonderful experience though.
It starts with the amazing and informative 14 minute 3D movie. Which we all thoroughly enjoyed! Then u go into a smaller room where the butterfly's (behind glass) are not only in their cocoons but are coming out of them. U then get to go into the main attraction - the butterfly atrium!!!! A-mazing ! U can spend as much time in the atrium as u want so peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. You see butterfly's from all over the world in every color that u can think of!! My kids faces when a butterfly landed on them was worth the price of admission! You then go into a very small aquarium where u can touch the stingrays:)
---- ice cream and drinks were WAY overpriced for a place like this. While we did not eat there I wouldn't recommend it food didn't even look that great. Skip the gift shop and snack shop.
