Thanks to Doc Martin, Ally and team I am once again owning my life! Five weeks ago I made the best decision regarding my health - I had a total hip replacement. I slowly gave up yoga, hiking, zumba and just my own personal happiness. I was miserable with a decomposing hip joint and this team truly saved me!
I had my hip replaced at the SurgCenter in N. Scottsdale. I was admitted at 7am and home in my own bed with my new hip by noon!! I recovered at home supported by my husband and adult children. I firmly believe you recover quicker when you own it. I did my prescribed PT, I slept when needed, I walked and walked and walked some more with my walker. I watched mindless TV when I needed to.....I totally owned my recovery process.
Today marks my 5 week anniversary! My daughter and I will be pre- black Friday shopping, preparing Thanksgiving, hiking some paved trails with no more cane or walker!! I am just so grateful.
