That bad review was from a couple years ago, so I don't know why that guy's problem was. Maybe he dropped a weight on his foot or something? I switched to Anytime Fitness after some not so great experiences with the larger gyms. The lady at this location was honest, friendly, answered all my questions and didn't try to "sell" me which I really appreciated. Start up costs were very low and the monthly dues are very reasonable. The equipment is always clean and in good condition. It's never (at least in my experience) funky with another person's sweat. I usually work out in the middle of the night and this location is in a safe/clean neighborhood. I've never had to wait for a machine (I have gone during the day on occasion) or felt uncomfortable being "checked out" like at other gyms. The tanning bed and bathrooms are all clean and in good repair. This place is pretty amazing considering after 7 or so, there isn't any staff. It shows that the other members care about the facility and pick up/wipe down after themselves. Hell I can't get my kids to do that!
Keep in mind that this IS a franchise and I had an AWFUL experience at another Anytime Fitness, so whoever owns/manages this location is doing a GREAT job. I am happy to hand them my $30 every month!
