My 3 daughters (9, 19 months, 4 weeks) have been patients here since my middle daughter was born in 2013. The patient service has always been less than ideal. Too-long waiting room waits, rude front office staff, incorrectly billing my insurance on several occasions. But today is the straw that broke the camels back and I will NOT be returning. I brought my 9 year old in to be seen for chronic hip/ leg/thigh pain. I also had my other 2 girls with me, as I am their sole caregiver and my husband works. Anyhow, I was told I'd have to wait on the "sick" side of the waiting room, with my (not yet immunized) newborn, and other 2 kids that have NO cough or congestion (as the office girl had asked.). When I said I wasn't going to expose my babies to all the germs over on that side of the waiting room, "Lety" rudely said we'd have to wait outside because we were walk in patients. I actually went outside to wait, angered as I was, because I really needed my daughter to be seen. After being outside for 30 minutes, trying to nurse my newborn, keeping my 19 month old from running out in to the parking lot, and having my 9 year old writhing in pain on the bench, I decided to go in and see how much longer we'd have to wait. I grabbed my kids and walked inside, and stood in front of the window for a couple minutes, Lety (who is holding the phone receiver) finally acknowledged my presence, and asked if I had a question. At that point, I was so upset, but contained my anger. I just told her we'd be leaving and that I was very dissatisfied with how we had been treated and that her attitude was just an unacceptable way to treat a patient. I really like Dr Garcia herself, but a doctor is only as good as her support staff.
