A cute, dark, very intimate little (literally very small) spot, Dish has a small menu with some tasty options. Their dirty vodka martini is one of the best I've ever had, and at $10, they should get a prize. However, the service was a bit spotty and the portions are quite small for the price. I'm all for quality over quantity, but when I'm still starving after my meal, I get sad. The quality was there. The grilled octopus was tender and clearly fresh. The mixed grill was expertly prepared. The veal rollatini was tasty, but surprisingly dry. Across the board, everything was a tad more bland than I prefer. Nothing made my mouth do the happy dance, and when menu prices are this high, I want my mouth do that dance throughout the meal. Everything was good, just not great. Drinks, apps, and mains for our party of four came to $265 before tip. I wouldn't recommend this place for a first date and would only come here in a large group if members of that group are comfy being shoulder-to-shoulder. In any case, make reservations.
