So ive officially been here almost two months and i finally got to see how Sigel Suites really is. If i could score this place a ".5" i would because this place is digusting and just all around uncomfortable to live in. My apartment has roaches, not to the extent where they are pouring out the walls but bad enough where i see four a day. I tried to exterminate them but i cant get rid of them for the life of me. The stove doesnt really work and theres no way to lift it to clean it without breaking it. Theres literally something ALWAYS wrong with this damn apartment whether it be that the fire alarm wont stop going off or that the tv is making trilling noise. The laundry mat has high theft rates and the dryers always break, the office cant even refund you your money! They also lie to you and tell you that your rent is going to be a certain amount only to randomly raise it by 20$. The neighbors are terrible. On my left there's an old man who always calls his wife a 'whore' at all hours of the day and night and on the right the couple is in violent relationship and they physically fight each other at least once a week. The walls are paper thin so no conversation is private and random people will knock on your door at all hours. Someone knocked on my door at 4am atound Christmas then started screaming for hour outside at whoever they were with . There's a certain sense of unsafety around here so i don't recommend being outside after the sun goes down because ive heard gun shots on multiple occasions. This is a bad area not just an area where people are poor and trying to make it like i thought but an area where crackheads and mentally ill people routinely approach you trying to get you to do things for them. I cant wait to get out of this place. I recommend you dont come here even for a week because the only positive is that Siegel suites Cambridge is somewhere to live.
