Kobe is a great place to go with family or friends. Lot of options for seating- teppan where they make the food in front of you, normal seating at a table or booth, or high top seating at the bar.
They have a really solid happy hour for drinks and rolls which is usually what draws me in. They have the usual rolls but also some specialty rolls that are really amazing. The yum yum roll is my fav- served with special sauces drizzled on top and served warm. Sooooo good. Something I never pass up on is the ginger salad too- it's really small and a great appetizer but there's something real special about that ginger dressing on top.
ALSO, some of the best chicken fried rice ever. You can order small and large sizes and it's made to order so you can order without certain ingredients (i always skip on the onions).
