Las Vegas North Premium Outlets is an outdoor outlet mall located just a few minutes away from Downtown Las Vegas and The Strip. Why do they have outdoor malls in the desert? Well, it beats me because I couldn't bear the heat when I to these outlets in August so my shopping trip here was very short lived. I imagine they would make more money in the cooler, winter months because when I went there once in November, I spent almost the entire day there. The nice thing though, about these outlets, is that there are these water misting sprays scattered around the mall to cool you down from the heat. The water spray is light and doesn't help a whole lot but it's better than nothing. The last time I went, there was also a shave ice/snow cone truck called "Kona Ice" to help cool you down. Despite this mall being outdoors, I normally enjoy shopping here. There are a lot of good stores here including Tory Burch (sometimes the store gets really packed so they make people form a line outside to wait), Rue21, Zumies, Michael Kors, Guess Factory Store, Bebe, and they even have an outlet store that sells show tickets. There's a food court and a few snack kiosks as well. Overall, timing is everything at these outlets. If you go during the summer, you will have to find a way to tolerate the heat. There are multiple parking lots and structures but sometimes the outlets get so busy that you may have a hard time finding a stall. The first time I shopped here, I had no trouble finding parking. The second time I shopped here, I had to circle the lot a few times to find an open stall. Their operating hours are pretty good as they usually close at 9 pm and are open on major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day (shorter hours).
