Was clean and reasonably nice. The staff was decent but did not go out of there way. They said there was no concert for Canada day in Toronto when I asked. However online I found something in North York online and thought he should have mentioned it. North york is pretty much just a Toronto suburb for the most part.
The room was small and there was a really old TV (no flat screen). Cmon, how much does it cost for a small flat screen seriously.
The location was convenient. Within walking distance from a lot of shopping, china town CN tower, china town and very close to the subway.
The restaurant was also quite decent with friendly staff.
Overall not a bad hotel but in a class a bit lower than hotels like Sheraton, Hilton, Mariott etc. If that is the calibre of hotel you are looking for then it is best to look elsewhere.
