Right now it's 2° outside. Inside, a toasty 72°. And it's all thanks to Tom Busby of Anytime Appliance Repair. The blower motor in my furnace up and died on the coldest day of the year so far, and the day was already have gone. Called the original installer, and they wouldn't be able to make it until the next day, and the temperature in the house was dropping rapidly. Did some quick searches and looked over reviews, and called Tom. Despite it being late on a busy day, he was over in less than 90 minutes (which includes the time he took to stop and pick up a new motor). Tom is friendly, professional and he obviously knows his stuff. Unfortunately he was given a bad motor (!) and it was already nearly 5pm. Tom worked up a solution involving another motor he had on hand, and said he'd return in the morning. I would have been happy to let it go at that point; we had heat, we'd make it through the night, and this motor was working better than what we'd had. He insisted on coming back with a new motor, and knew it was the better option in the long run. He was back in the morning and had the new motor in place in 20 minutes, and the furnace is now running better than it ever has before. Not once did he try to push anything additional upon me, but he made me feel extremely confident about having him back to evaluate a new HVAC system, or any appliance I'll ever need repaired. He is simply that "old school" type of service person who goes above and beyond and makes you feel like your home is in good hands should you need his help. On top of all that, despite the problems with the first motor, the extended time and his return visit the next day, the price was EXCEPTIONALLY reasonable and broken down clearly. Honestly, it was about half of what I expected under the circumstances. Our home is an old one, and I'm certain I'll be seeing him again. I hope that anyone in similar circumstances who (like me) is terrified and simply doesn't know who to call runs across this review. Stop looking, you found him. Set your mind at ease and give him a call. 5+ Stars for Tom B. and AAR.
