Save yourself from a year of HOA harassment and DO NOT MOVE HERE. A few months into our lease my gf and I were experiencing some strange problems. We kept seeing a woman constantly monitoring/photographing the windows of every single unit in the villa. We figured this person must own/rent property here, so we let it go. A few weeks later we realize this happens to be the board of director for red rox villa, Cindy. I wasn't aware that the Board of Directors of the HOA main duty was to look into every apartment window multiple times a week and take photographs. I've been talking to members of the community and they have had very similar issues. The primary purpose of a homeowners association is to manage a neighborhood's common areas such as roads, parks and pools. I understand that homeowners/tenants have to follow the HOA rule book, but does this justify constant window inspection?!? Do not judge this book by its cover, you will be very sorry and unhappy here, if you value your privacy.
