I have driven by this place numerous times and remember a friend had told me it was great. I think I just lost a friend unless he wants to give me the $30 I waisted on this garbage at lunch today. I can't believe they call this place a BBQ joint. I asked about the rib tips and was told not today... only on Fridays so then I asked about brisket. She said they have a beef sandwich and they could just give me the meat from the sand which but still couldn't tell me if it was brisket. My wife ordered a salad and Sweet Potato fries and I ordered a half rack ribs and sweet potato tator tots. The salad was what I expected except the dressing was a couple pouches like you find at a fast food place. The sweet potato fries were covered in black pepper (not something my wife was expecting), the tator tots were good but obviously store bought. Now for what I came here for... the ribs. They were the most disgusting ribs I have ever had. They were overcooked, not properly smoked, reheated what seems like multiple times and then covered with a ton of BBQ sauce. The sauce was descent but was needed to cover up the bad flavor of the rib. This is not BBQ and NOT what I expected. For someone who doesn't appreciate good BBQ and will eat almost anything that's covered in a sweet sauce, maybe this is right for you but if you expect Honey Bears BBQ to serve BBQ, you will quickly learn as I did the expensive way, they don't. I do not recommend to anyone.
