We went back tonight because we had a nice lunch there a few weeks ago. Tonight however, was a real disappointment. The beet salad had a few crumbs of the promised pecans. The rest of the food could have been done better in any Greek diner.
There were plenty of people working there but they just seemed to be running around. There was no manager visible. The service was disorganized. The food was a let down from the first visit. The waiter charged the wrong table to my credit card. When he finally gave me a correct bill he put a straw instead of a pen in the bill folder!
This place is not serious about providing good food or good service. The staff is all young and untrained.At seven o'clock they were already frantic.
This place seems like it is just there to churn and burn. It will probably be an Italian place or a steak house in a few months. I could not wait to get out of there.
I called for reservations and was told that they only take them for parties of seven or more. The two of us would have to be on a waiting list. We got there at six thirty and got a table right away. The dining room is long an narrow. There is a constant stream of staff running from the front to the back. It makes for a hectic atmosphere. It is not the kind of relaxed, taverna experience that one would expect.
One unpleasant thing that was beyond their control was the extremely loud band out on the street. It made a poor dining experience even worse. Petra and Tivioli are not ready for prime time.
