This was our 1st hotel on our road trip from CA to AZ. We got into town earlier than expected and tried to call to see if we could maybe get an early check in. The lady that answered was not very friendly and seemed annoyed when I asked and said she'd call us when something was ready and that she had no ballpark of any time frame for us. Mind you the check out is at 10 am and check in is at 4pm. We did some sight seeing and around 3 figured something might have popped up so we decided to go to the hotel. Same lady was at the front. Once again in an annoyed manner told us she'd call us. We went to the bar next door to get a drink and kill some time. No one greeted us and we had to go find someone to make us a drink. Once we finally found employees they were all really nice, drinks were weak though. 4pm rolls around and no call so we go back and that lady was no longer at the desk. The new staff were very friendly, checked us in right away, and little did I know at the time, they upgraded our room for us because my bf was going to propose to me! Room was really nice and clean! Once we were settled in the room the visit was really nice. Great room, nice pool. Just had a bit of a rough start and some of their staff was not the most customer oriented.
