I got powder dip nails for the first time today. I have never had any kind of acrylics on my nails at all. I'm sure you need to get used to the feel of them, but I do feel like my nails are WAY thicker than they need to be. If you look at them from the side some are very thick and 2 not too much. I have seen online tutorials of this process and have never seen them dip more than twice. Mine were dipped 3-4 times and they just seem really think and inflexible. All of my nails are different thicknesses, and that's what I don't like. There were 3 nails with jagged edges I had to file after I got home and noticed them. I like the idea of this, but this was not a good job. After getting home and really looking at them closely, I can see that they are lumpy, uneven thicknesses, and just don't look very professional to me. The salon was nice and clean, and everyone there was very pleasant. I would not get these again unless someone else did them and made sure they were thinner and even and not running over the edge of my nail. Actually they feel so weird, heavy, awkward and thick on my fingers that I may have to take them off before I leave for vacation, which is why I wanted them in the first place. **update-I started dipping my own nails and 1st try was WAY better than this!!
