I hate to give John a negative review but the truth of the matter is I hired him and he still hasn't delivered. Literally. I booked with Le Fox after a tasting in February because I LOVED the food and John and I got along so well. His prices were amazing and before the wedding it was pretty easy to get in touch with him by email. He was very accommodating as we did not know the exact number of people (even on the wedding day it changed) but he promised to have extra food just in case. I was so excited for all of my guests to try the food and meet John, and was therefore taken entirely by surprise on the day of my wedding when my coordinator told me during our pictures that no catering staff had shown up yet. When she called/texted John, it was reported that he was out of town and his chef covering him had been in a car accident. We felt awful and John offered to pay for the food we had to call in as well as reimburse us, which we thought was entirely fair. If that had happened I would be giving him 5 stars. However, three months after our wedding, John has been increasingly difficult to get in touch with and although promises of a check on the way and then a direct account transfer were made, none have been received. It breaks my heart to write this as I really liked John and hope that his chef makes a full recovery, but we were promised something and are still, months later, waiting for it, and that just doesn't seem right in my book. UPDATE: It has now been 3 and a half months and since August 15th John has not responded to ANY calls, voicemails, emails, or facebook messages. I've had multiple friends who are engaged asked me if I would recommend John and I have had to say absolutely not, which, as I said before, bums me out because I was really looking forward to working with him and his company for our wedding and beyond. Very disappointed
