Let's face it, locals. Downtown Phx doesn't exactly have a bunch of places you can duck into and call home. Seamus McCaffrey's is one of those places.
If you've come here for fine cuisine, you'll be disappointed. The food here is good, not great. But if you're here, you've usually eaten elsewhere already and are looking to wet your whistle. And for that, you're in the right place. Service is quick on all but the busiest nights, prices are reasonable, and the crowd is always fun.
Live bands do perform here fairly often, but their days rotate. It not unusual to show up one night on week and enjoy a live band's performance, then come back the same night next week and have them not be there. If live music is what you're after, call first.
Parking in this area is generally a chore, especially around Happy Hour. Parking spaces can be found a block or so away as night falls, but the best option (as with most anything downtown) is to take the Light Rail and walk the short block to the pub.
In short, it's a very laid-back kind of place. Like stopping off at a friend's house for a drink and a chat before carrying on with your evening.
