This is the best brewery in Charlotte in my opinion, top notch beers in a cool environment easily accessible from the downtown train. They specialize in IPAs, sours and saisons, so if you come by, stay around that space. What He's Having is as good of a classic IPA as you will get. The bartenders are occasionally surly, but I would be too I think, if I was dealing with the crowds at this place, which is actually the reason I don't give it 5 stars. It skews very early 20s and becomes basically a frat party on the weekends. Most weeknights you'll have a much better experience. They appeared to have food, but I didn't patronize it. Also, on a nice Wednesday evening you can't beat the view of downtown from the patio.
