Kew Gardens is a great spot. A beautiful park area snug between the shops of Queens St East and the Beaches and boardwalk. Perfect for a relaxed stroll with a friend for chats and plenty of spots to sit. Also great for dog walking and frolicking. I often include Kew Gardens on my route when taking the dog for a walk. Start off over in Woodbine Park, down to Ashbridge's Bay, over and up through Kew Gardens. Best of the best. Lots of other dogs to sniff and say hi to along the way. This park is also the choice spot for several community events and festivals. In the winter they sell Christmas Trees up on Queen St. In the summer it's one of the locations for the Beaches Jazz Festival as well as many little concerts in the Bandstand. There is a huge open area and baseball diamond just south of the bandstand. And further south still is the ice rink in the winter time.
