I like this place! Haven't visited enough/tried enough things to love love it but definitely one of the better bakeries in YYC.
The location is a pro/con. It's bad for people like me who live so far away that if I ever wanted anything, I would have to come out here with the sole purpose of visiting. It's great for all the lucky people who live nearby though. And I like that it is in a little area with restaurants, ice cream shop, etc. with a big parking lot.
I've tried a macaron cake from here and it was not as overwhelming as I thought it would be. I expected the cake to be almost too sweet but it was a perfect balance between fresh fruits and the cream and macaron!
I also tried the maple croissant which was good, but not over the top amazing. However, the owner told me I should try it warmed up for 10sec in the microwave with some vanilla ice cream so I might try that next time. I was just too impatient and ate it right away in the car.
Interesting flavours of macarons here - I tried the orange sesame and it was light and tasty. Will try other ones next time!
Brought home the raspberry cheesecake and the peanut butter white chocolate cake. Both were super smooth and tasty. The cheesecake was light with the perfect amount of fruitiness to it! If I ever need a cake, I will consider this place. I believe you DO need to order in advance though, which is a bummer because I like to see a couple of cakes on display regularly.
Excited to go back and check out everything else they have!
