As others have said, this is definitely a step up from Giant Eagle, though there are a few drawbacks.
Pros:
Quality. If you walk into Heinen's, the produce is almost always excellent. For example: During winter, Giant Eagle has smelly, nearly-rotting tomatoes. By contrast, Heinen's produce is always fresh.
Service. The people who work here don't point. If you ask where something is, they'll walk you to the product 100% of the time. Everyone who works there is polite, professional, and a refreshing change from larger chains.
Cons:
(Some) Prices. Granted, higher quality usually means higher prices, but their meats are really up there. Heinen's organic chicken is frequently a lot pricier than Giant Eagle's, for example.
Selection. Heinen's isn't as large as other groceries, which means that some non-food sections are going to be a lot smaller. Shopping at Heinen's means that you're going to be going somewhere else to get bath products, for instance.
Bakery. Sadly, the worst bakery I've ever tried. Undercooked muffins (twice), flavorless cake donuts, and unimpressive pies have made me give up. Like I said, they aren't exactly cheap, so I had to cut bait on their baked goods at the risk of losing more money.
Ive gotta say, the smaller crowds and better quality make this an appealing place. But there are a few things that I don't love - will they deter me from shopping here? No.
