Imma be brief here. My manicure sucked. I went there based on the fact that they were open till 7:30 and Dynasty down the street is open till only 7. I knew I'd be arriving around 6 and didn't want a rushed job. Well that's what I got. My first choice of color for a gel mani was not available. Or something, I really couldn't understand the confusion. The 2nd choice also - they advised me not to get. It's Lincoln Park after Dark. A standard color. So I admired the nails of one of the techs and said I'd go ahead and get that. It was out of the box for me - natural pink with an accent nail. The owner did my nails. She was pleasant, everyone was pleasant. Language wasn't an issue. Due to the light color I honestly couldn't see the shoddy job in the store. But as soon as I got to the car I realized, this was a mistake. There was a flaw on just about every nail. Not only were there flaws (dimpling) but by day two I started getting significant lifting on the corners. I finally got the nails removed by another location a mere 5 days later. What is so odd is I'm still left with residue, even after the other salon soaked my nails in acetone for an inordinate amount of time. I will stick with CND Shellac or OPI. The product used at Malibu is a brand I'm not familiar w/. Maybe had it been applied with more care and less blemishes I'd be more pleased. It's a shame. Everyone was so nice, but the manicure was definitely rushed. Less than 40 minutes.
