First off, knocking off a star because of the recent parking and valet fees, which really was one of the key reasons we even come to Vegas. Free valet is one of those luxuries that we don't get anywhere else and now that is gone.
Make sure you become an M-Life member so you at least only have to pay for parking or valet once for any MGM property (which is like half of Vegas practically).
New York New York has really changed since the last time I visited this resort. It was our first time seeing the new T-Mobile Arena and the huge outdoor entertainment venue dubbed "The Park" which also coincides with MGM's future plans to rebrand the Monte Carlo.
Our kids loved Hershey's Chocolate World...and there is so much to see and enjoy in this resort. We stayed an extra day on our recent trip to Vegas and wanted to stay at NY-NY but the rooms were sold out. We opted for the Luxor (bad decision) instead. Don't make my same mistake ;)
One note: we tried the Shake Shack for the first time and we're blown away by how good the burgers are. This was a fantastic addition to this resort. Make sure you check it out!
