So here is a recount of my three encounters with this company.
#1. I ordered an item from Amazon Prime. When I saw the other reviews I thought perhaps it would show up one day. However, here's the summary:
Two days later, no package. 3 days later, no package. It's now over a month later no package. The package was shown as delivered.
#2: In a strange twist, the package was delivered on the day promised. HOWEVER, it was not brought to my door, it was not even brought inside my apartment building. Rather it was left OUTSIDE in the parking lot in front of my building. A neighbor saw the "delivery." She said, "The car stopped, the man opened the door and threw the package toward the front step." The item inside the box did not work. Go figure
#3. I just spent an hour on the phone with Amazon. A package was shown as delivered. I do not have it.
Oh, and don't bother calling Lasership's 800 number. I had a 70 minute wait time my first time and a 135 minute hold time the second time. The IRS does better.
Amazon, if you are reading this my question is, what is it going to take? I have canceled my Prime membership. My neighbor canceled hers a month ago for the same reason. I LOVED having Amazon Prime before this. 90% of my deliveries were UPS, every once in a while it was USPS. NEVER A PROBLEM in years of being a Prime member. I have been a Prime member for 3 of the last 4 years.
My suggestion to anyone reading this. If your Amazon tracking shows Lasership as your carrier, be proactive. Call Amazon as soon as you see your tracking information. Mention this Yelp page. Get ahead of it.WHY? Well, here's the thing. Lasership is going to show your package as delivered when you don't have the item. It's your word against theirs. At some point, Amazon may call YOUR integrity into the light.
