This disappointing review is based on 2 visits to Linda Woodson's office.
I finally decided to see a dermatologist after many years of redness to my face and nose. This was the first time I visited a dermatologist. I did like how the assistants took notes on tablets, instead of writing answers down or entering them on computers. Dr. Woodson looked at my face and told me that I have rosacea. No samples, swabs, closer examination was performed. She prescribed an ointment to apply 2X per day, which would have been $180 until I asked the office to switch it to a generic brand.
My 2nd visit was 6 weeks later with John, who is a PA-C, which I don't know what it means... Regardless, John was nice and told me I should take a type of antibiotics called Oracea for life and wash my face with Finacea foam. I was told it should reduce the redness, but will not take it away. I am aware that they are getting a huge kickback from the pharmaceutical companies, but why pass these outrages fees on to their patients? With my insurance these 2 prescriptions were $300 each!
My symptoms are the same, if not worse after 2 months! This is my compliant, which I have expressed thru phone calls and in writing without any resolution.
It is extremely sad that we all rely on doctors at some point of our lives; unfortunately, in many instances they are not there to actually help their patients!
