Mmmm... Mmmmm... MMMMMMMM.... !!!! I LOVE this place, is all I have to say! I've been meaning to grab a pie from this cute little Kensington locale, but have only popped in when I was in a rush, to take a peek.. I've been wanting to go back ever since, and just did the other week... all I have to say is WOW...
It was pretty busy inside with people grabbing sandwiches, coffees and pies, as well as others grabbing pies to go, but it was totally worth the wait. I'm a HUGE fan of sour cherry pie, and haven't had a truly decent one in Toronto ever. The staff were so nice and helpful.. they didn't have any of the ones I wanted in the front display unit or on the bakery racks, but the girl knew I really wanted one so went to the back to hunt around to see if she could find me one. She found me a mini, which was exactly what I wanted. I devoured this baby at home over the span of a few days and it was heaven!!!!! The sour cherries were soooo sour - just the way I like 'em! The crust was awesome, and the whole concoction itself made me wanting more. I'll definitely go back. I can see myself gaining 10 pounds if I feed into that wicked craving, but I cannot lie: I've been dreaming of that pie ever since!
All in all, a DEFINITE go-to spot in Kensington. Sooo worth it!!
