I happened to walk by Ruelo today and I thought I'd stop in for a few macarons. I previously tried their 'Earl Grey' and 'Fleur de Sel Caramel' macarons at the Food & Wine show and while they were a bit too sweet I really wanted some today.
When I walked in it was completely empty except for one customer chatting loudly on his cell while waiting for an order. I said hi to the girl behind the counter but got no response. I figured she was preoccupied filling the order. But after she was done she continued ignoring me and didn't even acknowledge my presence. That's when I left.
For anybody interested, their macaron selection is small (they don't carry everything they list on-line) and they range in price from $2.25 - $3.00.
