Our driver was Paul. Fun guy who shared tidbits of information throughout the trip to Grand Canyon's south rim. We were picked up 6:20 am at Planet Hollywood's shuttle pick-up area. Bus travels along Las Vegas Blvd & makes stops at select hotels. Bus was quite comfortable & documentary/movie videos were played during the long bus ride. Ride took about 6 hours to get to Grand Canyon, but this included 3 stops. First stop was at Hoover Dam, second stop was in Kingman, AZ for restroom & to pick-up lunch, third stop was in Seligman, AZ (a historical site along the famous Route 66). Timing on stops were great so that we can stretch out our legs but the bathrooms accommodations should have been better. The bathrooms at Hoover Dam were smelly port-a-potties. The bathrooms at Kingman were inside a building but it had no running water in the bathrooms (men & women). The bathrooms in Seligman were better but very small. Lines for the restrooms were long. We had about 3 hours to view the Grand Canyon South Rim. Gorgeous & definitely worth the trip! We left Grand Canyon about 5:30 (MST) or 4:30 (PST) Nevada time is one hour behind. We made a stop at the In-&-Out in Kingman,AZ to pick-up dinner. Paul drove slowly over Hoover Dam so we can see the dam all lit up. We were dropped off around 9:30 pm PST at Planet Hollywood. Long day but definitely worth it! Because the drive is a long drive to the Grand Canyon, why not have someone else drive! Yes, I would recommend but hope Grand Canyon Destinations chooses pitstops with better restroom facilities.
