The great thing about Bliss is that you know what to expect. And having gone to Bliss Soho in NYC, I know the level of mani/pedi I am expecting. And dare I say it is a few notches up from a lot of the other places I have been in Scottsdale. The lounge area is bigger than Bliss Soho and Bliss 49 (in NYC). I was gifted a groupon, so made my reservation for a triple oxygen facial as well as mani/pedi. I arrived at opening, was taken back to the spa area right away. The receptionist was friendly. My esthetician was super friendly as well, and I didm;t feel like I got a ton of upwell during my treatment (THANK YOU), because whats worse than laying there and having someone tell you all the things you need to look better, right? She was knowledgeable, but not fussy. I think many people have the misconception that Bliss has snotty people performing mediocre services. From my perspective-it's a wrong bet. And I was reminded of that as I had a great morning here. As I said, skill level for mani pedi is definitely better than many other places I have been to in Scottsdale (I can say the same for Bliss Soho-the pedicurist I go to is AMAZING). Two words for ya: PROFESSIONAL STAFF. The staff is professional, courteous and not overly in your business. They have a full selection of Essie and OPI colors, that are fresh (none of that China Glaze brand here). There is also a great selection of gel colors, and the manicurist can work with you on some nail art (but nothing too extreme, but I understand that). I got a flawless reverse french. I do want to point out that hygiene is a big thing here, and often is overlooked in other salons. I love that they have a basin (not a whirlpool with those foot baths attached to your chair). My gel mani was perfect-I wish I had more time 'more often' to spend here, while I am in Scottsdale. I will definitely come back. Yes, some of the prices are steep especially if you don't have a groupon, but the mani/pedi options are definitely comparable to the other salons around town. And mind you-you are DEFINITELY getting a good job here. Value for money, people.
