This is the first negative review that I have ever posted on Yelp. I was in need of cracks in my grout between the sandstone pavers around my pool to be replaced. I encouraged the owner Chuck to just replace the existing cracks, but he insisted on doing every one of them. The cost was a bit pricey, but I understood that it was a very time consuming project and he assured me that it would be done correctly and last many years. He was also going to acid wash my pool, for which I was really excited about because it was in need of a cleaning and I knew would look so much better. I also requested brown colored grout instead of the regular grey grout. He projected that this would be a 3 day project, but after 2 weeks, 90 percent of the grout had been replaced (half of it was brown and half of it was grey) and pool had been sitting getting even more dirty awaiting for that project to start. Every day, Chuck would contact me (or I would have to call him) and tell me that he was short staffed, which I was okay with for the first few days, that happens. But after a week, when he knew that I was frustrated and was no longer patient that the job was sitting undone, he had promised me that my job was his priority and he would be out first thing in the morning. Well I waited until noon and then called him. He had said that he was finishing up another job and would come out that afternoon. He had said that a few times before, so I wasn't buying it this time. We then spoke later that afternoon, and he said that if he didn't get done with this job that day, that he would be out after the holiday weekend. So I said, if he didn't show up that day, then he needed to come get his stuff (and a bunch of garbage he had left behind and I would find someone else). So of course he did not show, and I called another company that came out on memorial day, and started the process of cleaning my pool the very next day. So back to the unfinished grout. I ended up spending several hours repainting the grout the same brown color that I had requested the grout be, and also bought some grout and finished a few of the areas that he missed. I then sealed the grout myself, as well as touching up some cracks in the new grout. Fortunately I did not pay him the full amount up front, so I did not lose any money, just a lot of time trying to make it look good and several days of taking a few hours of my own time to do it.
