It so disappointing when a great place goes under new management and everything people love about it changes.
When I heard Jake wasn't there anymore I couldn't believe it. Perhaps it's all coincidence or the new manager has something to do with it. But by the looks of it they have taken a hit in business, go figure since the atmosphere has completely changed. This place also seems less friendly to Montford, they now only do food until 1:30, and close at 12 Sun-Wed. They only offer a limited menu after 10, and they no longer provide table service. Drink specials seem to have stayed the same but for all you beer lovers, the draft lineup is never switched up anymore, huge downfall.
My husband and I were maybe not frequent enough to call regulars but were in there at least 3 times per month (enough as to where Jake and Danielle knew us by name). It was a little treat to go to The Roasting Co., get a drink and dinner, get recommendations on places in Charlote with good food. Now we like to go to Moosehead down the street.
Also, they are lucky ALE hasn't hit them yet considering the new manager drinks at the bar out in the open during work (very unprofessional).
We'll be getting all togo from here on out.
