I have finally found the perfect Roman bombolone that I remember from my trip in Italy. The brioche is the perfect size, not oily, light and airy rolled in the perfect amount of sugar and filled to order with a lip smacking pastry cream or chocolate cream to the brim.
They have a small selection of fresh pastries, many amazing looking breads, a small selection of daily fresh pizzas and a fairly well stocked supply of gressins and other packaged Italian treats. Free fresh water is available from lovely vintage containers and the coffee looked authentic to bit.
Add the loveliest of owner and very reasonable prices, this is my new go to for Italian, in a central location of Montreal. Get there now, or don't and let me enjoy the silence and my many future meals in peace.
