Due to a very disagreeable conversation with the innkeeper over my arrival time, I ended up not staying at this inn. The tip-off should have been the extremely poor customer service I received via email, which was followed by an even more unpleasant phone conversation when I told the innkeeper I'd be getting in later than 8:00 p.m. His words, and I quote were "I get up at 5:00 a.m." and "it was clearly stated that you can't arrive past 8:00 p.m.". When I mentioned that I didn't receive this information, his response was, "I'm looking right at this information." His response to the fact that I guess I'd find another hotel was, "Well, that's your choice." Completely unfriendly and allowed for no wiggle room after my exhausting trip from GA to PA. And most B&Bs DO allow for late check in by simply leaving a key available! To add insult to injury, I was charged for a night's stay, even though I specifically asked the innkeeper if he'd charged my credit card! I stay at B&Bs all over the country/world and have never been treated so poorly. This experience put a dark blot on an otherwise delightful weekend in Indiana, PA, to see my daughter graduate from IUP.
