I dropped off three pairs of designer shoes back in February. One of the shoes were never worn before. The Australian man who bought the store with his wife (I don't remember their names) said he was going to post my shoes on Tradesy and assured me the shoes would sell. I allowed ample time for the shoes to sell and decided to call and follow up. I called many times and even drove by the store and it was always closed. After sending emails in addition to calling and driving by, the man called me from the store and said the shoes still hadn't sold and offered to buy one of the three pairs. I was willing to sell the shoes and he advised me to take a few days because he didn't have the cash at the moment. This call took place on a Thursday and he said he would have money on Monday so to call him back then which I did and the number was disconnected. I once again sent emails and never received a response. I drove by the store and the store has "relocated," but there is no address listed and the number that it directs customers to call isn't a legitimate business number. I tried calling the number and my call was rejected. I tried from another number that doesn't show my name on an ID caller I would assume, and it went to VM. This is terrible business practice and I can only imagine how many other customers are being screwed out of their belongings along with money. I'm not sure what can be done if these people packed up and took off someplace, but if anyone has any additional information on how to stop these crooks from screwing more people over, please reply to my post.
