I have gone to Malabar twice for dance supplies. They also sell costumes. The store is divided into two sections, one for costumes and one for dance. I will focus on the dance supplies. Malabar carries the major brands (ie. Capezio, Mondor, Sansha, Bodywrappers). There is a huge assortment of leotards for both adults and kids, hair supplies, shoes, and tights. Usually there is something on sale so make sure to check their clearance section. I managed to score tights for $5 (original $32), and two leotards for about $20 (both around half off). I am a little bit disappointed with their ballet shoe selection though. I came here to search for full sole leather ballet flats. They didn't have any available in my size. There wasn't a large selection to choose from either in terms of ballet slippers. The slippers were also very overpriced, so I am going to go back to my studio and buy them there instead. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Don't be afraid to ask for help. They fit the vibe of the store very well. I think the word I want to use is eccentric.
