The Southside BBQ truck came to my workplace recently, and I enjoyed trying it! I heard rave reviews about the Bar-Ba-Cone, which I believe is mac and cheese, coleslaw, and BBQ in a waffle cone. However, I wasn't sure how messy that meal would be, so I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The sandwich had the potential to be awesome, but unfortunately, the pork itself was a bit dry and flavorless. I added a little bit of BBQ sauce but regretted not adding a lot more as I consumed the sandwich at my desk. The mac and cheese had a nice pepper jack kick, and I liked that it wasn't too spicy - just the right amount of warmth. I would try the food truck again but would love to order the Bar-Ba-Cone next time.
