So I thought I'd pay another visit to Tru Burger to see how they've evolved from their debut in April. Only 6 other parties here on a Monday during the lunch hour. I was greeted courteously and immediately seated. My server took my order and I held my breath to see if I would endure a lengthy wait like my first visit in April. Happily my order was up in less than 10 minutes. My Blue cheese burger arrived medium rare as ordered. It was topped with carmelized onions and applewood smoked bacon. I decided to skip the usual mustard and ketchup to savor the menage of flavor of the Angus beef, the bite of the blue cheese and the smoked bacon. It was superb. I also ordered the garlic parmesan fries. They were hot, not greasy and full of a lightly spiced kick which stood on its own without any high fructose sweetened ketchup needed. Tru Burger appears to have turned the corner with speed of meal prep and service (I hope the ramped up service translates to peak evening and weekend meal times). Keep up the quality and speedy service and Tru Burger will have a legion of fans in Anthem and the North Valley.
