Yes, do avoid this branch. I bought a 3000 dollar ring here about 6 months back and was very pleased with the service. I bought the warranty that required me to bring the ring in every 6 months which was ok because that's about how often I get to the mall. I was there today getting my hair done so I stopped into get my ring checked and cleaned for my six month check up. The sales lady, Mary said I needed my card or they couldn't record that I was there and my $180.00 warranty would not be honored. We had bought other pieces there before and had never bothered to buy the warranty so we did not know if this was true or not. Mary checked my ring in about 10 seconds and than cleaned it. The whole time seeming very bored and uninterested. We told her we were still paying on it so couldn't she look that up and record that we had been there and she told us we needed our card. The magic card that would keep our warranty alive! We told her we would bring it in later in the week when we found the card. So we went home and searched for the wonderous card. Then we found it........it was Nothing special, no magic magnetic strip, nothing but a folded piece of paper. She could have pulled one out from behind the register and written that we had been there. It's not like they were busy, we were the only people in the store, go figure. I don't know if she was just plain lazy or that it was some scheme to void the warranty that the company encouraged, none the less next time we will go to Jared!
