Let's be honest here: as soon as I saw the picture of a donut dressed as Cookie Monster, I was sold. Double points for being open 24 hours. (I tend to sleep poorly when I travel, so sleeping through dinner and waking up at 3am isn't unusual.) The vibe of the place is kind of nuts, but in a good way. The donuts are all ridiculous, so don't expect to get a cream-filled long john here--think more of a Fruit Pebbled covered donut called the "Fred Flinstone." (Side note: do not order the Fred Flinstone, it's a great idea but poor execution for my taste.) The game changer for me was the PB&J donut, which sounds disgusting until you try it. And you should try it. Because it will change your life and make you want want to hop on a plane and fly back to Tempe to get another box or twelve to bring home.
