I was blown away by the venue here. An old hotel that is simply mind boggling, breath taking, and unbelievably gorgeous. I felt transported into a time of old when men were men, and three lunch martinis were the business meetings of choice.
Since I was meeting a date, I thought I should wait to have a drink-but I didn't. The drink I had had candied bacon accompanying it and I was FLOORED. I could not believe how complex the flavors were, how perfect the bacon tasted, and how ingenious this drink was. MMM...I need to drag friends there. Or just go. Like now.
We shared two appetizers and they were both unbelievable. I loved the cherry bomb and the beet salad hit the spot. I cannot wait to come back and have a full 4 course dinner (yes 4 indeed 4) with 4 cocktails. I will not be driving. I'm just saying!
