No, no, no. I know Bubba Gump's is a tourist trap but we were in a rush, so we settled on Bubba Gump's. Big mistake. Our server was nice enough and explained that the "STOP FORREST STOP" and "RUN FORREST RUN" signs were used to call over the wait staff when service was needed. OK, gimmicky and kind of cute. We never ended up using them, though. I went for the Shrimp Scampi and my husband got the jambalaya. Our food came out within 10-15 minutes, pretty quick. My husband liked his jambalaya but also commented halfway through eating it that it got old pretty fast. As for my scampi, it was very lemony which is not my preference for this dish, but it was fine. What was NOT fine was the fact that the shrimp was most definitely overcooked. Ugh. You'd think a seafood restaurant could saute shrimp and not overdo it. Not only that, but I felt the overall portions were pretty small for what you were paying. To make things worse (considering I was in a hurry to leave the restaurant), the computers went down after our server took our card. I think we were waiting 20-30 minutes for that to pass before she was able to swipe the card. Bah!
