I went in for a shellac manicure to test this place out. I figured that if the result was pretty decent, then this place would be a hidden gem because $30 is the cheapest I've come across in town. I was put off by some of the negative reviews, but went ahead with my appointment because it seemed most negative reviews involved the use of a Groupon. The manicure did not hold up for the standard 2 weeks of wear. It began to peel and chip within the first week. I don't know what brand was used, but it seems inferior to other shellac manicures I've had. The application caused an issue as well -- the base coat and some of the colored polish had gotten around my cuticles and was beginning to peel. The staff was nice enough, and in theory I do really like the style of the place. But it was dirty. The nail polish/tool caddy on the counter was covered in gunk and dust, the top of the manicure bar was badly stained, and the towels did not look clean. I wanted to like this place because of the great hours and prices, but I had questions about the sanitation and the product was no good. I guess you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this place.
