This Homewood is a new hotel at end of Strip District in close proximity to the Heinz History museum, downtown, North Shore, etc. Unless you are driving to Pittsburgh, leave the car at home since you will be paying for parking and there's really not a need for a car. They offer a hotel shuttle within a 2 mile radius. It is by reservation only but it is free, so take full advantage. The staff was very nice and efficient - super helpful with anything needed and they never seemed to be too busy for any guests. The lobby area is large and has a few different seating configurations, including tall tables with phone charging stations. You get all the amenities of a Homewood - free breakfast, evening reception (Mon-Thu only), coffee in the lobby. There's also a really nice indoor pool and gym. The rooms are spacious though there wasn't a separate desk in my king room - just a table in the kitchenette. Full sized fridge in the kitchenette along with a couple of burners and a microwave and dishwasher. The shower configuration was a little weird - there isn't a shower door, just a glass panel that covers about 2/3 of it, with the controls on the side that is open. I really enjoyed my stay here and would not hesitate to book here again if I was in the area.
