I couldn't get into my usual salon for a wash/style, so since I had a coupon, I thought I'd give The Studio a try. Ordinarily I would not trust a novice with my hair but how badly could someone mess up a simple blow out?
The receptionist put me with Kat and she was great! She did a thorough shampoo and condition and proceeded to blow out my hair into the precise style I wanted. I took her about an hour but for the low, low price, who cares?
The school itself is nothing to look at--dated chairs, tiny stations, and nasty-looking foot baths where they do the pedicures. The music was cool, though. They had on an 80s mix that rocked!
Also, prepare to have a crowd at the sinks. Someone was getting highlights so lots of people were crowded around the sink next to mine. But this is a school, so it's to be expected that people will observe.
