Had to drive up to Cleveland to take a test.I have been there a couple times but not familiar with the area. The test was at 830am and I was going to get there around 1am needed someplace close at a reasonable rate for 1 night. The Holiday Inn was 6 blocks away from the Federal building straight down 9th Street and at $114, I'd thought I'd give it a try.Online,it looked like my cup of tea.It was converted from the 19th century Guardian Bank building.Check-in easy enough, room was impressive with the hardwood floors and very high ceilings. My view left alot to be desired but I was only there to sleep.Parking was $14 a day. Good water pressure and temperature in the shower. In room coffee maker didnt work properly-or I didnt massage it just right. But the breakfast on the mezzanine level made up for it.They had the usual coffee, juice, apples, and pastries. What I really liked to see was bacon and cheese omelettes. This meal had me set for the rest of the day. It was only a couple more blocks to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame so I could walk there next time I'm in town. Good hotel with a terrific central location.
