I'm not a typical Michael's shopper, went there to get a custom shadow box. I turned out really nice and really affordable. I believe it was like 75% off at the time and came to $170, there would be no way I'd bay $700 or $800 so there's quite the mark up but I was pleased none of the less. Went in again about 5 months later to have a 8x11 picture framed, thought at the most it would come to $40-$50, no it was $160 with 60% off. So it would have cost like $300-$400 just for a little picture. Just made no sense, so I bought something off the shelf for about 10 bucks and worked just as good.
I agree too, this store is a mess.
I do like the their display cases for football helmets and balls.
I'd give their framing department another chance but I'd shop the price or if it's to outrageous sounding I'll walk.
